Who We Are
Our Story
Ray of Hope Church of the Living God is a Spirit-filled community in Bowie, Maryland — a church where faith, family, and purpose come together. We exist to lead people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, to disciple believers, and to be a beacon of hope in our city and beyond.
From our first Sunday gathering to today, we have been anchored by one truth: God's love changes everything. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have walked with the Lord for decades, you have a home with us.
Rooted In Christ
Our History
Ray of Hope was founded by faithful believers who shared a vision for a church that would authentically reflect the heart of Christ — welcoming, prayerful, and unafraid to serve. What began as a small gathering has grown into a multigenerational, multicultural family.
Through years of prayer, sacrifice, and Spirit-led leadership, our church has been a place of healing, breakthrough, and renewal. We honor the legacy of those who came before us and continue to build on the foundation of God's Word.
Today, we worship together, study Scripture together, lift up our community in prayer, and reach out with hands of service — carrying the same flame of hope our founders kindled.

We exist to be a Ray of Hope — a place where the hurting find healing, the searching find Truth, and every person experiences the unconditional love of the Living God. Our mission flows from Hebrews 6:19: we hold fast to the hope of Christ as the anchor for every soul.
